This Mazda RX8 was originally built by Tom Neel at The Parts group In Alabama and club raced. It did well and won the NASA endurance race at road Atlanta among others. I purchased this car and a second car- pictured crashed below- and converted them for use in the Pirelli World Challenge and the first car raced starting with the season opener in St Petersburg Florida with Chip Herr driving. The car did well but a crash in the first race left us with issues that caused issues the rest of the weekend. The car was very successful in Club and Pro racing before being retired in 2015. It has run up Pikes Peak, autocrossed, drag raced, and even been in a car show or two.
