Sonerai II L

The Sonerai IIL was acquired from a local fellow who was relocating across country. While technically flyable, the decision was made from the start to completely inspect, restore, and repair the aircraft, including recovering and repainting it. The Sonerai II (two seater) L (low wing) is a sportplane powered by a VW engine. In this case the engine is a 2276cc flight engine. As a day VFR flyer there is not much in the way of creature comforts or any sort of "extras".

Pictures below depict the aircraft from pickup, through teardown and into the rebuild process. Current Status is 90% covered ready for the paint process then on to re-assembly.
